Verse One:
Christmas bells are ringing, children are singing
All about the Christ-child’s birth.
Angels descending, God is now sending,
Glorious tidings of peace on the earth.

Verse Two:
Shepherds abiding o’er flocks presiding,
When suddenly the angels appeared.
The gift of salvation is sent down from heaven;
Haste now and find the Baby so dear!

Verse Three:
Wise men relying on the star that was guiding,
To the place where the dear Baby lies.
Mary is holding her new baby King,
There in her arms He opens His eyes.

Chorus:
“Look! Look! Look, baby Jesus;
Look at the work of your father’s hands!
See! See! See, baby Jesus;
See those who’ve traveled from far distant lands.”

Verse Four:
They all then behold Him, the child she is holding,
Laying their gifts at the dear baby’s feet.
Bowing before Him, to worship and adore him,
This heaven-born Child, this great Prince of Peace.

Chorus:
“Look! Look! Look, baby Jesus;
Look at the work of your father’s hands!
See! See! See, baby Jesus;
See those who’ve traveled from far distant lands.

But why, why, why are you crying,
My sweet little Darling?
Why are those teardrops filling your eyes?

My child, are you crying for men who are dying?
Are you thinking ahead to the reason you’ve come?

My child, are you crying for men who are dying?
When you cry from the cross, then your work here is done.

When you cry from the cross, then your work here is done.
